Jett is a Mexican-made Charvel Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 1, essentially the classic hot-rodded S-style guitar taken to its logical conclusion.His gloss black alder body is paired with a bolt-on maple Charvel Speed Neck, reinforced with graphite and finished in hand-rubbed satin, with rolled fingerboard edges that make it feel wonderfully played-in without actually being worn out.The maple fingerboard has a 12”-16” compound radius, flattening out as you head towards the dusty end, with 22 jumbo frets and Charvel’s heel-mounted truss rod adjustment wheel.Then we get to the noisy bits.Jett carries a pair of proper Seymour Duncan Distortion humbuckers, with the ferocious TB-6 at the bridge and SH-6N at the neck. A three-way blade handles pickup selection, while the push/pull volume control unlocks additional split-coil sounds.And because merely making lots of noise wasn’t sufficient, there’s a Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo, complete with trem arm, ready for everything from a tasteful wobble to noises normally associated with aircraft experiencing mechanical difficulties.Then there’s that scratchplate.It isn’t scratched or cloudy. The mirrored guard still has its original protective plastic film attached, which is what you’re seeing in the photographs. We’ve deliberately left it there, so Jett’s adopter gets the frankly magnificent privilege of peeling it off themselves and revealing the untouched mirror underneath.Because some pleasures should not be stolen.He’s also retained his original Charvel hang tags and factory inspection paperwork, which is a lovely little extra to find with a pre-owned guitar.Jett has now been thoroughly cleaned, inspected and professionally set up, ready for his next home.And because sending a guitar this shiny out into the world unprotected seemed irresponsible, we’re including a brand-new fitted hard case with him.
