Emery Sound Microbaby head (1-2 watt boutique tube amp)

Handmade, point-to-point wired, boutique tube amp (230V). Made in the USA by Curt Emery (Emerysound) in dec. 2014.

This Microbaby head is in great condition. A fabulous amp if what you're looking for is pure tone. It's an ultra lo powered, tube rectified, Class A guitar amp that puts out 1-2 watts depending on the tubes used.

Massive guitar tone out of this rig without the need for an attenuator or overdrive pedals. Weighs about 6 pounds. Beautiful construction.

Can use the following output tubes: 6K6, 6Y6, 6V6, or EL84 (w/ YellowJacket adapter) depending on your preference. The Microbaby is self-biasing, so swapping tubes is super easy.

Single channel (one 1/4" input). Front panel has input jack, voicing switch, tone and volume controls.
The Voicing switch (3 positions) configures the gain and dynamics of both the preamp and power amp stages.
• CLEAN - low gain preamp with a healthy dose of natural compression, which makes the amp more controlled through its range.
• LOOSE - raw and harmonically rich, very touch responsive.
• BOOST - adds loads of drive and punch. (think Stooges, Black Keys, Howlin’ Wolf, etc.)

Tone control is a purely subtractive, passive EQ. Middle position is ‘neutral’, transparent. Turning the knob counter-clockwise removes treble frequencies and gain. Turning right, or clockwise, subtracts bass frequencies and gain. You can bypass the Tone control entirely by turning it counter-clockwise fully until it ‘clicks’ - to produce a wide open, less filtered tone.

Back panel has power/standby switch and speaker output jack.
Amp will come with 3 tubes pictured and the power cord.
