For sale is a AKG D20 from the late 50s, it looks good and sounds like it should. I can do test recordings for you if you want.
The D20 was the studio version of the D12 and they selected the best capsules - i had over a dozend D12s and only one sounded as exemplary and even like this one. Most D12s do not sound anything near what they should have like after being stored wrong or being damaged, this still does.
Full bass, even frequency distribution, only used in the studio and i am the second owner, the first owner was a pensionist who gave it to me when he retired. The original box comes with it and two adapter cables big tuchel / XLR. I sell it because i get old too and i got way too much gear and too many microphones. As this is a vintage item it is sold as is, but fully functional.
