The Epiphone Ripper Limited Edition was a reissue inspired by the classic 1970s Gibson Ripper/Grabber family of basses. It was produced as part of Epiphone's "Custom Shop" very limited-run program between 2006–2007 for the natural finish. Crafted in Korea.
This exemplar is among the earliest, built in May 2006. A true musician and collector’s gem.
The bass is in mint state. No bumps, scratches or nicks. Original pick ups and electronics. Straight neck. The instrument works perfectly and delivers the expected strong aggressive tone. The P/J configuration enables a wide tonal variety, from a Gibson-esque thickness to a P-Bass growl. The bass has a unique liveliness, delivering every single ounce of sound thanks to the brass nut and the high mass bridge. The high level of craftsmanship makes this instrument a pleasure to play.
Tailored case (produced for the bass) is included.
