Here are the straight facts on a beautiful little machine. This is a 1950 Masco MU-5 tabletop tube amp, put together in Long Island City back the week of September 4th, 1950, back when people actually built things to last. It pushes about 5 watts of pure, smoky Class A tone through the original 6-inch speaker. If you blow a harmonica through this thing, it honks like a spooked goose on a highway. It runs a 6SL7GT preamp, a 6V6GT power tube, and a vintage Sylvania 6X5GT rectifier. It’s got three inputs on the back, so you and your buddies can plug in at the same time and wake up the whole county if the mood strikes.

The condition is near-mint, and honestly, it’s been treated better over the last 75 years than most folks treat their own trucks. The brown and tan textured skin is totally intact with sharp corners, and the musical note stencil on the grille cloth hasn't even rubbed off yet. Inside, it’s completely unmolested—no modern hacks, no amateur repairs, just clean, original factory wiring.

To sweeten the pot, this package includes a period-correct 1950s instrument cable with the original molded Bakelite plugs. Finding one of these that isn't shattered into a million pieces by someone stepping on it with a heavy boot is an absolute miracle, making it a rare piece of functional history that rounds out the entire setup.
