Supro Pocket Bass with Original Case Extra Short Scale Thick Neck 1961 - Black

Hi there! Up for sale is nice Supro Pocket Bass from 1961. This is a super cool and unique bass. It’s one of the very few EXTRA short scale basses. Perfect for small hands and guitarists. The Black Keys even used this bass ram through a fuzz pedal for some killer lead tones.

It has a very thumpy warm neck pickup as well as a hidden 2nd pickup under the bridge That is more focused and articulate. Wity the blend knob you can switch between The 2 pickups or dial in the perfect amount of both.

The bass is in nice condition, fully working and all original. There was a small crack near the neck pocket that has been repaired and is solid.

The bass playes incredibly well With a nice thick chunky neck, indicative of most popular guitar builders of that era. It has brand new Gold Tone flatwound strings on it that feel really nice. The bass has nice low action, and has been recently setup and plays spot on in tune all over the fretboard.

It’s also include the original case. It’s beat but it functions well with all original handles present and accounted for.

What can I say? It’s a Supro built in the golden era of Supro. The build quality is fantastic, it looks great, sounds great and plays great. This bass would be a welcome addition to any guitarist’s, bassist’s, or studio’s collection. I wouldn’t hesitate to record or go on the road with tis bass.
