The Peavey Q231F is a legendary rack mount equalizer, with a major feature that set it apart from other EQ's: integrated visual feedback detection.

The Peavey Q231F was specifically engineered to tackle live sound emergencies and monitor mix rings on the fly. 

The Standout Feature: FLS (Feedback Locating System)

The defining characteristic of the Q231F is the array of small red LEDs placed directly above every single frequency slider.

How it works: Internal circuitry continuously monitors the audio energy across all 31 bands. When a specific frequency spikes dramatically - which is exactly what happens right as a microphone begins to feed back - the corresponding LED lights up.

In practice: Instead of an engineer guessing whether a piercing squeal is at 2.5 kHz or 4 kHz, they can simply look at the faceplate, see which LED is glowing, and pull that specific fader down to instantly kill the feedback. When there is no feedback, the LEDs dance dynamically, functioning as a basic Real-Time Analyzer (RTA) of the music.
