Due to the relocation of my studio in Brussels, I am selling this legendary Sonosax SX-T analog console, fully functional and recently serviced by a specialized technician.

This console originally comes from a Swiss broadcast radio environment. Sonosax consoles are widely known for the exceptional quality of their microphone preamps and their extremely transparent analog summing.

The sound is extremely precise, flexible and musical, with very low noise and excellent dynamic headroom, typical of high-end Swiss broadcast equipment.

The console retains its original microphone preamps as well as its original Penny & Giles faders, renowned for their precision and durability.

INPUTS

• Mic / Line preamp on XLR
• PAD
• Phase reverse
• 12V / 48V phantom power

EQ

• High shelf: 8 kHz
• Semi-parametric mid: 200 Hz – 8 kHz
• Low shelf: 80 Hz
• Variable high-pass filter (HPF): 20 Hz – 500 Hz

EQ section switchable IN / OUT (HPF independent).

Dynamics

• Built-in compressor per channel, optimized for voice
• Adjustable threshold and ratio

ROUTING

• Channel insert
• Direct Out on TRS connector (configurable pre/post)
• 4 AUX sends assignable pre or post

TRS → dual jack adapters included.

STEREO CHANNELS

2 stereo line channels

• 5-pin XLR input
• Adapter cable 5-pin XLR → 2 × XLR included
• Simple Low / High EQ
• Left / Right / Mono selector
• AUX assignable pre/post

MASTER SECTION

• 2 main stereo buses (A / B)
• Channel bus assignment
• 4 AUX masters

INTERNAL OSCILLATOR

• 1 kHz / 10 kHz tone generator

REAR PANEL / MONITORING

Sub-D connectors for connecting the external monitoring panel (included).

Intercom

The console includes two intercom channels (originally used in broadcast trucks) that are NOT functional, but this does not affect the audio functionality of the console.

POWER SUPPLY

Original Sonosax external power supply.

Installed in a protected ventilated enclosure with a custom 7-meter extension cable, allowing the PSU and its fans to be placed outside the control room.
