What is a “Factory Demonstration Model”?

This is a nearly new guitar that has been used only to demonstrate its performance by an ESP sales rep and is offered for sale at a discounted price. The guitar's specific condition will be described in the listing and any marks will be noted. We complete a full factory setup and hand-inspection before shipping. It should also be mentioned that a “Demonstration Model” comes with ESP's Factory Warranty.

As part of the 400 series, LTD’s EC-401 is built to last and perform for even the most demanding professional musician, and features EMG 81/60 active pickups. The EC-401 is ready to handle any kind of music where guitar gets pushed to the forefront. It has a set-neck design for comfortable, fast access to the higher frets, and a mahogany body with a quilted maple top, 3 pc. mahogany neck, and Macassar ebony fingerboard. It also includes high-quality Grover tuners.

Note: After close inspection, this instrument has a scuff on the cutout horn binding, a blemish on the low E string side upper bout binding, and a scratch on the back of the body. (See pics)
