The D-45 Marquis model was offered by Martin from 2006 through 2008. These finely made instruments were styled after a 1937 D-45 example. They're constructed of fine Indian Rosewood, a forward shifted solid / scalloped Adirondack X bracing, solid Adirondack top and Golden Era 45 appointments. The run topped out at 91 pieces production total over the three years.
Martin put their best foot forward when introducing such an amazing, limited run of guitars. The selection, quality and color of the woods as well as the Golden Era style appointments used to construct this fine guitar make this instrument the pinnacle of acoustic guitars for anyone wanting the best that Martin has to offer. Comes complete with original hardshell case.
The frets has been upgraded to stainless steel - this guitar should never need a refret. Also the Bridge has been replaced.
