Gibson Burstbucker Type 1 Humbucker Pickup (Nickel)

This official Gibson Burstbucker Type 1 Humbucker Pickup represents Gibson's drive to recapture the magic of the original Patent Applied For humbucker pickups where they were wound using imprecise machines resulting in varying degrees of output and tone.

First introduced in the early 1990s the Burstbucker captures the subtle variations of true, classic humbucker tone with historically unmatched coil windings, alnico two magnets and vintage braided two conductor wiring. The pickups produce an airy, full tone and when overdriven they achieve a magical distortion with the slightly enhanced highs that made the originals so famous. The Burstbucker Type 1 is slightly underwound resulting in a lower output and is excellent for the neck position. It is not wax potted (unpotted), to give you a vintage correct tone and feel.
