I have too many projects. This has to go to someone else to restore. This is a very special find - this model 138 from B&H predates the 179, 185 and 385 that all the other kids are playing with. Schematic says 1945. Point-to-point wiring. Is the orange cap on top a 1950s modification? Probably. Original photo tube and two 6F6 VT-66's. The rectifier looks like it was a 5V4, but it broke. The other tubes are present but untested. Everything is as-is.

The original grill is attached to the original 8" Magnavox speaker 163 or 168 (?), 700 Ohms field coil. Indeed, DC resistance of two opposite pins is 691 Ohms. . Last patent date listed on the speaker label is from 1934.
