Knob Options: Vintage Black Plastic, Black Metal, chrome bottom black top

Plate Option: Chrome only

Independently wired volume and tone for each pickup. A 3 way toggle switch to choose either neck, bridge, or both pickups. A series / parallel switch. In series mode the neck knob becomes a master volume and tone. Series mode must have the 3 way toggle in neck or middle position. Bridge position sends everything to ground and no sound.

A word about independent wiring vs dependent wiring for basses. What is the difference? Independent wiring allows the instrument (while in the middle position. Neck and bridge together) to blend the volume and tone without the entire circuit going quiet if one of the volumes is turned completely off. Dependent wiring (again while in the middle toggle position) will go silent if one of the volumes is turned completely off. The con (for guitarist and not bassist) for independent wiring is that some of the high end is actually lost when you turn down the volume in this position. Guitarists will loose frequencies around the 5k mark. For bassist this is really a non issue. Our single coils hardly go above 4k. And with the treble bleed circuits installed on this model, any highs that would be lost are retained by this. So, for us bassist, this is a complete non-issue.

Various knobs are available including Vintage Black Plastic. Vintage Black Metal. Chrome.
