Fender Blues Junior BIAS Mod Kit PCB Cream Board

This is a BIAS Mod Kit for Fender Blues Junior amps. It comes fully assembled (1PCB)

This kit fits only the Cream Board PCB Blues Junior.

This amps use a non adjustable bias set by to resistors R51 and R52. The idle current that goes through the tubes from factory is it too hot. That causes thermal issues and reduces the tube life, some of them also caught on fire.

The modification is very simple, but due to having to flip de board the process may damage a lot of things like breaking the ribbon cables.

With this kit, there is no need to flip the board anymore.

These kit must be installed by a qualified technician and after installation adjusting BIAS is mandatory.

Instructions:

-         Clip R51 and R52 close to their bodies to mantain the legs intact.

-         Straight the legs of the clipped resistors.

-         Fit the fully assembled PCB on those clipped legs.

-         Solder the legs on the PCB pads, carefully not to overhead the legs of the resistors.

-         Then carefully adjust the Bias voltaje by turning the pot.
