Cascade Pedals Hosstortion Mosfet Distortion (Modern MT-10 Mostortion)

The Hosstortion is a modern reimagining of the short-lived and highly sought-after Ibanez MT-10 Mostortion. The MT-10 was only made for a few years in the early 90‘s, and the original CMOS op-amp used by Ibanez was discontinued in 2005. Since then, advances in chip technology have led to the creation of BiMOS chips, which combine two formerly separate semiconductor technologies into a single integrated circuit device. The Hoss takes full advantage of this new chip to create an overdrive pedal with tons of output, warm mids, and lots of low-end, while still maintaining the original tone-stack and sonic characteristics of the Mostortion. Other updates to the original include top-mounted jacks, a premium foot switch and anodized lug nut, and UV printed art graphics on Sour Apple green-sparkle powder-coated enclosure. "I’m infatuated with this new  Hosstortion. It’s a reworked version of the old Ibanez MT10 Mostortion that uses a new BiMOS chip instead of the long discontinued CMOS op-amps in the originals. I’m not super-savvy about the tech side, but I do know that this thing is low gain heaven! The three band EQ is brilliant. The mids have a beautiful warmth like a great ‘Screamer or Blues Breaker circuit, but there’s plenty of low end available which always seems to sound full and never boomy. The highs are sweet and chime-like. Tons of output volume. I may have never played an overdrive or distortion that gets along with a compressor as well as this one. I’ve already rearranged my pedalboard to fit it, and it’s not going anywhere."
