Yamaha BB2000 Broad Bass 1981 - Sunburst
Our users rate Reverb
Here we have a fantastic Yamaha BB2000 Broad Bass from 1981, built in Japan and finished in a classic Sunburst. The BB2000 is one of Yamaha's most iconic basses from this era and remains a firm favourite with players who appreciate great Japanese craftsmanship and a slightly different take on the classic bass formula.
The alder body is paired with a maple and mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard, giving this bass a really solid and lively feel. Yamaha's PJ pickup configuration provides plenty of tonal flexibility, while the simple passive controls keep things straightforward.
There's a great vintage feel to this one, with the distinctive Yamaha styling and understated Sunburst finish giving it plenty of character. The BB2000 is a serious player's bass as much as it is a collectable, offering a powerful and versatile sound that works across a wide range of styles.
