Ludwig 12x13 White Cortex Finish Rack Tom Vintage 1980's

For sale is a Vintage late 80's Ludwig 12x13 White Cortex rack tom. In overall great shape. The shell is a 6ply Maple\Poplar. No cracks. The shell is in round and bearing edges are good. The wrap is really nice. No cracks or lifting. Only minor scuffs and scratches. Hardware also only has some minor nicks and pitting from age.

Classic 6-Ply Shells (Late 1970s–1990s)

Introduced to compete with louder, heavier rock kits of the era, the 6-ply design removed reinforcement rings entirely. It layered multiple cross-laminated sheets.

• Orientation Formula: H-V-H - V-H-V (or alternating H-V-H-V-H-V)
• Structural Breakdown: Alternating cross-laminated maple and poplar veneers designed to maximize structural rigidity, giving these drums a significantly brighter, louder projection with a higher fundamental pitch.
