The ThorpyFX Six Zero combines a silicon fuzz inspired by the original MkI Tone Bender with a fully analog tremolo circuit designed by Dan Coggins. Its concept looks back to the classic sounds of the 1960s while reinterpreting them with modern components and construction.

The fuzz circuit uses silicon transistors tuned to reproduce the response and character of germanium, retaining the rich harmonics and touch sensitivity associated with vintage Tone Benders while avoiding the thermal instability and inconsistency of germanium devices. The Attack control moves from smooth, sustaining fuzz through gated, sputtery and more aggressive textures, with a particularly responsive range around its central sweet spot.

Alongside the fuzz is a modified version of Coggins' discrete tremolo circuit, offering a wide range of modulation speeds from slow pulses to rapid tremolo. Depth controls the blend of the tremolo, while Rate determines its speed. The two effects have independent footswitches, allowing the fuzz and tremolo to be used separately or combined.

Built entirely with analog circuitry and through-hole components, the Six Zero is a deliberately simple interface covering a surprisingly broad range of vintage-inspired textures.
