Up for sale is a beautiful vintage Selmer Paris 4-valve Piccolo Trumpet in G (Sol), developed in collaboration with the legendary Maurice André.According to Selmer's official records, the serial number 47968 dates this instrument exactly to 1970. This makes it a highly desirable early-production piece from the golden era of French brass manufacturing, preferred by collectors and baroque music specialists.Condition & Playability:
- Valves & Slides: Piston compression is very good, all valves run smoothly, and all slides move freely.
- Aesthetics: Original gold lacquer finish. It shows normal signs of cosmetic wear and lacquer wear consistent with its age (50+ years), but there are no major dents that affect the sound.
- Sound: Offers a rich, centered tone and quick response in the upper register. A true joy to play.
