I'm considering selling my 1973 Fender Stratocaster. The guitar is 100% original, without any repairs or modifications. It's in excellent condition – just the honest wear and tear you'd expect from an instrument over 50 years old.

I've made a professional YouTube video of this guitar. You can find the link further down in the ad.

Details:

Year of manufacture: 1973

, 100% original

, Original 3-way switch,

No modifications,

Weight: only 3.5 kg – exceptionally light for a Stratocaster of this era,

Excellent playability with low action.

I've been involved with vintage guitars my whole life and have owned and sold many of them. This Stratocaster strongly reminds me of a 1963 Stratocaster in terms of playability, while the sound, to me, is a blend of a 1963 and a 1966 Strat. This isn't surprising, as the early 70s Strats still share a lot of DNA with the late 60s models.

Currently, the guitar is strung with Ernie Ball Slinky .009 gauge strings. However, the setup is better suited for .010 gauge strings. The action is low and consistent across the entire fretboard – it plays exceptionally easily.

The instrument comes with a case that is practically identical to the original Fender case of that era and very close to the original specifications.

Regarding the guitar's history: It was originally purchased in England, then spent a few years in Germany, and is now with me in Austria.

I'm also open to a trade. I'd be particularly interested in a Gibson SG Les Paul Custom '61 Reissue with three pickups and Sideways Vibrola (Custom Shop), preferably with an authentic early 60s look and feel.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or are interested.
