I am offering a top-of-the-line 2026 Tokai SG-201 Premium Series, manufactured by Tokai Gakki in Hamamatsu, Japan.

This is one of the highest-specification SG-style models in Tokai’s Japanese range, built from selected Honduran mahogany and equipped with premium Japanese hardware and high-quality electronic components. It combines a traditional SG construction with the precision and attention to detail associated with Tokai’s Premium Series instruments.

The body is made from two pieces of Honduran mahogany. The one-piece Honduran mahogany neck is set into the body using a deep long neck tenon, increasing the contact area between the neck and body and supporting excellent vibration transfer, sustain and immediate response.

The all-mahogany construction delivers a full, resonant sound with a pronounced midrange, controlled low end and excellent sensitivity to playing dynamics. The guitar retains strong note definition on both clean settings and heavily overdriven tones.

The instrument is finished in transparent Cherry with a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish. The thin lacquer beautifully exposes the natural grain of the Honduran mahogany across the front, back and neck.

The one-piece neck features a traditional 18-degree headstock angle. Its rosewood fingerboard has cream binding, 22 Tokai #213 frets and classic trapezoid inlays. The scale length is 625 mm / 24.75", while the bone nut measures 43 mm in width.

The guitar is fitted with two original Japanese-made Tokai humbuckers:

These PAF-inspired humbuckers offer an open and dynamic response, moderate output, excellent string separation and a natural reaction to picking intensity.

The neck pickup provides a warm, full and smooth tone suitable for lead playing, blues and clean passages. The bridge pickup delivers a firmer attack, stronger midrange presence and excellent articulation with overdrive or high-gain amplification.

The traditional control layout consists of:
