Schecter Stargazer-5 Electric Bass Gloss Black
The Stargazer-5 delivers a comfortable, modern playing experience with its thin "C" neck profile that responds naturally to fast passages and intricate fretwork. Extended low-end range from the five-string configuration combines with articulate midrange tone that cuts through any mix, striking a balance between warmth and definition suitable for jazz fusion, progressive rock, and modern metal applications. The gloss black finish complements the instrument's refined character and clear, resonant voice across both aggressive picking and nuanced finger-style playing.
Playability & Build
The 35" scale with 22 jumbo frets and a 16" fretboard radius creates a responsive platform for both fast passages and smooth bends. A 3-piece maple neck with consistent dimensions—0.787" at the 1st fret and 0.866" at the 12th—delivers stability and comfortable ergonomics, while the Graph Tech XL Black Tusq 45mm nut ensures reliable tuning and clean string-to-fret contact. Deep Insert Joint with Ultra Access construction provides excellent upper-fret access on this five-string design.
Tone & Electronics
A Schecter USA M-25 5-string bridge pickup and Schecter USA J-25 5-string neck pickup deliver articulate, defined tones across the frequency spectrum. Dual mini-toggle switches provide series/split/parallel voicing options on the bridge pickup and coil-tap functionality on the neck pickup, allowing players to shape everything from tight, punchy lows to warm, singing highs without leaving the instrument.
