The body, crafted from characteristically grained swamp ash, combined with the bolt-on maple neck, forms the basis for an instrument that not only sounds magnificent but also offers equally comfortable playability. The tried-and-tested Wide Thin neck profile and the traditional 10" fingerboard radius ensure a comfortable playing experience across all 22 frets. To deliver a particularly broad tonal spectrum, the guitar features an HSH pickup configuration with two PRS 85/15 "S" humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions, as well as the specially developed PRS AS-01 single-coil in the middle position, which combines Alnico and steel pole pieces and perfectly complements the sound of the intermediate positions. The push/pull function on the tone control allows you to activate additional pickup combinations and access a wider range of versatile sounds. The instrument is rounded off by its high-quality craftsmanship and the characteristic PRS look, which makes the SE Swamp Ash Special a versatile electric guitar suitable for a wide variety of musical styles.
