The PRS Limited Edition Special Semi-Hollow Mango in Faded Whale Blue is a rare 2026 build that blends PRS precision with a more organic, boutique personality. Limited to just 200 instruments worldwide, this model takes the already celebrated Special Semi-Hollow platform and dresses it in a figured mango top that feels alive under the gloss nitro finish. Against the faded blue burst, the grain moves with remarkable depth and texture, giving the guitar a look that is equal parts refined and untamed. It’s a collector-grade instrument, but one that invites itself to be played the moment it’s in your hands.
The semi-hollow mahogany body with its single f-hole adds an airy resonance that changes the response in all the right ways. Notes bloom a little wider, chords carry more dimension, and the entire instrument feels more reactive to touch. The mahogany neck and Pattern carve offer that familiar PRS balance of comfort and substance, while the ziricote fingerboard adds visual richness and a smooth, fast feel beneath the fingers. Old School Birds inlays complete the look with unmistakable PRS character, tying elegance to functionality without excess.
Its voice is where this guitar becomes something truly special. Loaded with a McCarty III humbucker in both the neck and bridge and Narrowfield in the middle, it covers an enormous tonal landscape without losing identity. The 5-way blade switch and dual mini-toggle coil-tap switches unlock twelve distinct pickup combinations, moving from clear, articulate single-coil textures to thick, harmonically rich humbucker drive in seconds. Clean tones shimmer with width, edge-of-breakup sounds stay touch-sensitive, and higher gain settings retain the separation serious players demand.
PRS hardware completes the package with the Gen III patented tremolo and Phase III locking tuners delivering smooth expression and dependable tuning stability. Every detail feels deliberate, from the smoked black hardware to the clear knobs and hardshell case included in the set. As one of only 200 made, this Special Semi-Hollow Mango is more than a limited run finish variation—it is a fully realized statement piece that offers premium craftsmanship, broad tonal reach, and a voice as distinctive as its figured top.
