The Linn Drum LM2.
- This one is in chef's kiss condition and plays like 1984
- Classic, Epic, Timeless
- Probably the most iconic drum machine ever
This LM2 came out of a local collector's personal collection (friend of the family). I just had it open-wallet serviced by Bell Tone Synth in Philly. It did not require a lot of attention but I wanted to be sure everything worked as it should.
To that end, the power supply was replaced with a Synthchaser unit from Syntaur, caps were replaced where needed, and a few of the push buttons and sliders were refurbished. This LM2 was fully tested. Service paperwork will be provided with the sale. The removed parts are available to the buyer.
The video link below takes you to a video of THIS machine being demoed by BTS personnel, not a generic video. Sorry, we're not very good at it but you'll get the idea...
It looks like it has a MIDI connection on the side panel but the reason for that connector remains a mystery. We were unable to determine its purpose.
Overall condition is excellent to mint (9/10) with only a very few, small cosmetic imperfections. Please examine the pictures and the video carefully.
This LM2 would be an excellent addition to your personal gear, any studio backline or a discerning museum collection.
It will be packed well for shipping.
