This is a vintage 1965 Epiphone FT-45 Cortez with a Sunburst finish. The FT-45 first hit the scene in the 1940s, but it wasn't until 1958 after when Gibson bought Epiphone that they reintroduced the model with the "Cortez" nickname.

Sharing the same characteristics as Gibson's B-25, the Cortez has a Mahogany neck, back and sides supporting a X-braced Spruce top. It is similarly-sized to a 00 style, and parlor-esque with a 24.75" scale. It has some nicks and dings, checking and some lacquer flaking along its fretboard edges, but no cracks or structural scars. It has an upgraded, replaced bridge and saddle, which we'd say is a massive improvement to the original adjustable plastic version. It was also recently refretted and playing wonderfully. It is very light, pleasantly resonant with excellent volume and projection. Overall sounds incredible.

It has been professionally setup and comes with a hardshell case.
