The Gibson Custom Shop Murphy Lab 1961 ES-335 Reissue is a remarkably accurate recreation of one of Gibson's most celebrated semi-hollow designs. Finished in an Ultra Light Aged Cherry Red, the Murphy Lab ageing process recreates the subtle wear and character of a well-preserved vintage original, giving the guitar the look and feel of an instrument that has been carefully played and enjoyed for decades.
Constructed using Gibson's traditional maple/poplar/maple laminate body design and fitted with a pair of Custombucker humbuckers, this ES-335 delivers the open, resonant tone that has made the model a favourite across countless genres. The slim taper neck profile offers an effortless playing experience, while the Murphy Lab treatment adds an extra level of authenticity that has made these guitars highly desirable among both players and collectors.
