A concert-class José Ramírez Clase 1a ("Primera") built in 1978 at the historic Concepción Jerónima Nº 2 workshop in Madrid (serial Nº 12057, signed label). Solid red cedar top over Indian rosewood back and sides — the classic golden-era voice of the model.
The 1a is the reference Spanish concert guitar, designed by José Ramírez III and played by Segovia, Yepes and Parkening. Spanish-heel construction, 664 mm long scale, 54 mm nut — built for volume, projection and voice separation. The cedar top gives warmth and immediate response, matured over four decades of playing.
