The item we have just received is the 30th-anniversary model of the Horus, the brand’s flagship model that has remained in the lineup since the company’s founding in 1995.
The exclusive “Iris Violet” color, designed to evoke the era, reproduces the shade from the original catalog and was personally created by Mr. Sugano, the designer himself.
Furthermore, the body and neck shapes differ from the current Horus models, and the headstock logo features the original design, giving it a look befitting an anniversary model.

As mentioned above, the neck shape adopts the “Horus First Generation” profile, which is finished approximately 1mm thinner than the current Horus.
Combined with the fine-grained matte finish on the back of the neck, this provides an exceptionally smooth feel, allowing for seamless position changes even during rapid playing.
The fingerboard features a compound radius that transitions from 350mmR to 400mmR, jumbo frets, and the signature 27-fret configuration characteristic of the Horus. This combination delivers the high-quality playing feel synonymous with Horus, earning it strong support from technical players.
It also features a 628mm medium scale length, which, combined with the compact body shape, provides an excellent fit when held.

The wood configuration consists of a two-piece mahogany body, a five-piece neck made of maple and walnut, and a rosewood fingerboard.
Combining vintage and modern specifications, this guitar, despite its compact size, boasts a substantial weight of 3.74 kg. This provides a rich, full-bodied low-to-midrange and a smooth, resonant high-end.
Furthermore, to minimize body machining—just as in the past—the cavities are constructed separately, which also contributes to the overall sound quality.

The pickups feature the Caparison SH-27FC-A5 and Caparison PH-ba5, both developed exclusively for this model.
The rear pickup is based on the brand’s PH-BC model with modifications, delivering a rich, full-bodied sound with ample midrange despite its high output. The front single-size humbucker, the SH-27FC-A5, is designed to match the character of the rear pickup, achieving balanced output and a warm tone.
In clean settings, the tone is well-defined, and the warm timbre faithfully reproduces phrases and nuances.
When driven, the sound gains even more depth; combined with its excellent responsiveness, it holds together firmly even during fast leads and heavy riffing, delivering the powerful tone characteristic of Caparison.

The guitar is in excellent condition, with only minor scratches and some discoloration on parts due to age and use—nothing noticeable. The frets show minimal wear, and the truss rod is functioning well.
