This is the Fernandes/Barney "hide" Signature Model MG-80X.
This is the signature model of the legendary X JAPAN guitarist "hide": the MG-80X, featuring a black body with an "F" logo on a wood-grain headstock. It features a mahogany body, maple neck, 628 scale, rosewood fingerboard, volume/pickup selector/direct switch, and a TOM bridge with a stop tailpiece.
With its striking appearance, this black version of the classic MG shape is exactly what many people envision?and itfs still a guitar thatfs ready for plenty of playing.
The strap pins have been replaced with Jim Dunlop-style pins (no metal hardware on the strap side). There are signs of use, including minor scratches, scuffs, wear marks, playing lines, picking marks, ring marks on the back of the neck, and discoloration, tarnish, pitting, or rust on metal parts and screws. The interior of the soft case is torn.
Set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, and fret shaping). The fret heights are at a level suitable for playing, and the truss rod has been checked to 60‹ in both directions and is in good working order.
