[Condition]
Both the body and keys are in excellent condition with no noticeable scratches or deterioration of the plating. There is no history of crack repairs. Keys have been disassembled and cleaned, and the overall balance has been adjusted and re-inspected.

*While a flute technician has confirmed that it can reach high C without problems, the high register is slightly more difficult compared to Yamaha and other brands, and beginners may need time to grasp the breath control and technique. Please be aware of this beforehand.

Takezawa piccolos are one of the few domestic handmade piccolo specialty brands, produced by a father and son for two generations in a workshop in Saitama. For a time, it attracted considerable attention as a "Made in Japan" piccolo other than Yamaha.

Its greatest appeal is its soft and simple tone. The mid-to-low range, in particular, has a unique warmth, and unlike the flashy piccolos made overseas, it has a somewhat singing sound. Rather than sharply defining the contours, this is a model that we would like players who want to carefully express "musical nuances" to pick up.

Takezawa piccolos have relatively large differences in character from one instrument to another, which has sometimes been a topic of discussion, but this instrument has a well-balanced playing feel that responds smoothly even in the high range, and it has firmly achieved both the clarity required of a piccolo and the soft tone that is characteristic of Takezawa.

Currently, opportunities to find one in good condition are limited as they are becoming less common on the market. This is an interesting instrument that tells the story of "domestically produced, handmade piccolo."
