Rare opportunity to acquire a complete early 1970s Wooding acrylic drum kit, manufactured in Italy by Meazzi.

These kits (often referred to as “Vitrex” / Cristalline acrylic) are part of the early experimental phase of acrylic drum manufacturing and represent a fascinating European counterpart to the trend popularized by Ludwig Drum Company.

Complete examples in this condition are rarely seen on the market today, especially outside Europe.

Condition

The kit has been fully disassembled, cleaned, and serviced a few years ago:

All tension threads replaced with brass
No cracks in the acrylic shells (crucial for vintage acrylic kits)
No scratches, very clean overall
Chrome hardware in very good vintage condition (no rust)

Minor issues:

Snare strainer lever replaced with a period-correct 1970s Sonor part
Bass drum pedal spring should be replaced
Tom mount wing screws replaced with hex screws

Overall condition: excellent for its age, fully functional, and collector-ready
