This Conrad Bass Hawk effect pedal was made by OEM manufacturer Applied Electronics in the late 1960's or early 1970's. These pedals are quite rare and was the catalog-house brand for musical instrument distributer David Wexler & Co..
The pedal is a transistor basses-solid state bass boost-expander pedal designed to thicken up and boost your rhythm parts and lower frequencies and for 1968 technology it works nicely for guitarist looking to simulate bass parts. These pedals also have a unique built in battery test system.
