I bought this beautiful herringbone Martin HD-28 new in 2005 from Manny’s in NYC after a flush year in business. I am at a stage in life where downsizing is the right move.
I had a strap pin installed on the neck soon after getting it. A year or so ago, someone let his scooter knock against the guitar while I was holding it after an outdoor jam. As you can see, it left a hairline crack and a couple of dings. Frankly, I was relieved — it was much needed character for a guitar that appeared (but wasn’t!) under-utilized. I have detected no difference in tone, volume, etc. I recently had it set up, and the tech agreed — no reason to do anything there.
Neck, action, tuning machines, bridge, nut, frets, fretboard all in excellent condition. Original Martin hard case.
All the usual specs for this instrument.
