Designed with an exquisite balance—from the body shape, neck, neck socket, key plates, and ribs—it delivers stable projection, excellent response, and easy control thanks to just the right amount of resistance, all while producing a clear, transparent sound with the density unique to Yamaha.

Kohei Ueno, one of the beloved students of Nobuya Sugawa—who was involved in the development of the “YAS-875EX”—is a saxophonist who, like Mr. Sugawa, performs worldwide with a refreshing, pleasant, and airy style reminiscent of the wind.
This particular instrument was carefully selected by Mr. Ueno, who knows Yamaha inside and out, after comparing and testing numerous models of the same type. It is no exaggeration to say that this is the finest instrument of the “YAS-875EX” series in terms of tone, response, intonation, and playability.
