Yamaha SG-2000, in rare and sought after Translucent Dark Green finish, Made in Japan 1983-85. the SG-2000 is one of the flagship guitars by the Yamaha Music Corp. This model, was made in Japan in 1983-5 and sports a Mahogy body with maple cap and laminated thru body neck. Ebony fretboard, with split wing markers, frets ok, plenty of life remaining. Ample binding and quite clean brass hardware, including the Sustaining block under the bridge. Swinging in at about 4.3 kgs it’s not for the fainthearted but it has a clear, and distinctive tone from the original alnico V pickups. The SG-2000s, unlike the earlier SG-2000 models has 2 push-push coil tapping on the tone pots. The 2 pickup rings have an extra hole drilled between the 2 screws on the tilting side. Guitar is in very good condition and generally clean. Comes with Yamaha case
