1964 Fender Jazz Bass with original sunburst finish. Rosewood fretboard with clay dot inlays and tortoiseshell pickguard (the pickguard tips are missing). Except for three of the four screws holding the metal pickup and bridge covers, everything is original. Original hardshell case included.
The finish shows signs of wear, mainly on the body edges and with some light belt marks on the back.
The neck is in fantastic condition with only minor playing marks. The headstock is also clean.
This bass is a joy to play and offers a superb, consistent tone across the entire fretboard.
The neck is slim at the nut, and the truss rod has plenty of play.
Weight: 4 kg. Serial number: L321xx.
The neck dates from May 1964 (May 64A), the potentiometers from the 26th week of 1964.
Nut width: 37.75 mm. Body thickness at the 1st fret: 20.4 mm.
German CITES certificate is available.
