This Epi is surprisingly close to its big sister from Gibson — both in tone (the Epiphone ProBuckers are comparable in character to Burstbuckers) and in feel and build quality.
It’s one of the early models from the “Inspired by Gibson” series. The Goldtop finish is beautifully done, and overall it shows only minimal signs of use.
The neck is on the beefier side — a ’50s rounded C — but the back has been lightly satin-matted and now feels noticeably smoother and more comfortable.
The frets were freshly leveled, and it received an extensive setup.
