The Model 2400 is TASCAM’s hybrid answer to modern recording and live mixing, combining a hands-on analog console with built-in multitrack recording and USB audio interfacing. Designed as a single centrepiece for stage, studio, and rehearsal spaces, it bridges classic workflow with contemporary production needs.

At its core is a 24-track SD card recorder with punch-in and punch-out, paired with a 24-in / 22-out USB audio interface for seamless DAW integration. Twenty-two analog input channels are on hand, including 16 XLR mic preamps using TASCAM’s HDDA design, with simple one-knob compression available on channels 1 to 12. Channels 1 to 12 also feature insert points for external processing.

Five aux sends including internal effects, four stereo subgroups, and a main L/R bus make it equally capable as a live mixer. MIDI I/O supports sync and DAW transport control via HUI or MCU, rounding out a console built to move fluidly between performance and recording without changing gear.
