Up for grabs is a lightly used DOD FX7Guitar FX Processor / Preamp + NON original (VAC power supply (adaptor). From December 1995. Black, hard plastic casing, metal bottom plate.

  • NO box, NO paperwork.

Here's a link for the Owner's Manual for you to view, to download, and / or to print..

This Multi FX Processor / Preamp was tested and it works fine.

It is very important that you use the correct adapter (which I have included). This pedal neeed a 9VAC, 500 mA minimum, nd 2.5mm barrel end.

  • HEADS UP / NOTE: You CANNOT use a Truetone 1 Spot adapter + the Truetone L6 converter. Even though the L6 converter will fit on this DOD ME unit (since it also has a 2.5mm barrel end) - and even though the DOD ME unit will light up (when used with the Truetone power source) - it will not product sound (and it will not work properly). In this situation - the issue is the Truetone power supply + L6 converter NOT the DOD ME unit.
  • But Truetone does make the 1 SPOT Pro CS12: This is the only isolated power brick in the lineup that features a dedicated 9V AC output (800mA), which is compatible with the DOD FX7, the Digitech XP200, and other model DigiTech pedals / units, and some Line 6 modeler pedals, some Rocktron, some Korg, etc....
  • Also - in case you need to know (and / or if need more 9VAC adapters with the 2.5mm barrel end) - this is a good alternative to the original adapter. It is the HQRP AC to AC Adapter, 9V, 2100 mA, 2.5 mm barrel (female) end -- model # XY-09002100AU (WFCX) Sites / Stores lik4 Amazon, Ebay, maybe even Walmart sell it. I do not have any. But in thepast I did (which I paired with effect pedals / effect ME units that required it as a power source). 👍👍

Looks good for it age (about 30 years old).

The adaptor is not original one paired with the pedal - but it works fine.

The an area of the wires was reconnected - with electrical heat shrink adapter. I believe that the was done for one, two and / or three the following reasons:

  • 1) to reverse the polarity
  • 2) to lengthen the wire
  • 3) to put on a barrel end that would fit on the power jack of the unit.

I'll be adding some more written details tomorrow. Forr now - please refer to the pictures.

I took pictures of all sides of this Multi FX Processor / Preamp and there are some pictures of the adaptor.

NOTE: There may besome imperfections that I overlooked. There may be some imperfections that can be seen in person that do not appear in the pictures. And - there are some things show up in the pictures that are not visible in person - like glares / dust specks.
