This is a high quality custom built Stratocaster constructed entirely of new components and is a joy to play. With it's premium pickup selection and multiple electronic upgrades it provides an almost limitless number of tone options. It sounds and plays as good, if not better, than most guitars that are priced 3 times or more than what I'm asking for this one. It's ideal for the working musician who is seeking an exceptional, high quality instrument that won't cost a fortune. Here are a few of the details
- It has a lightweight basswood body with a mirror like, arctic white finish. The guitar weighs in at 6.4 lbs. and is perfectly balanced. It's very comfortable to play while standing.
- The roasted maple neck has a dark and rich, chocolate color and a glossy coated finish . It provides a smooth satin feel that allows your hand to glide up and down the neck with ease. The neck has modern C shape profile with a 9.5" radius and 21 medium jumbo frets. The frets are leveled, crowned, polished and smoothly rolled over at the ends. The neck is not only beautiful, it's a joy to play.
- The guitar is equipped with a full set of Seymour Duncan SSL-1 pickups. These premium pickups are hugely popular and have been used by many famous guitarists for decades. The reason is simple, they just sound exactly how great Stratocaster pickups should. B 6.7K, M 6.5K, N 6.4K. The middle pickup is RWRP which eliminates hum in the 2nd and 4th selector switch positions.
- The volume is controlled by a full sized 250K CTS pot. Tone1 is controlled by a 250K push-pull pot and works as a master tone that controls all 3 pickups. It's wired to a large orange drop 0.22uf capacitor. Pulling it reverses the phase on the neck pickup that when combined with another pickup results in a weaker, more scooped, and harmonically complex tone, often used for quirky solos. It's an effect that Brian May from Queen used often as just one example. Tone2 is a 250K CTS no load, blender pot which blends the neck and bridge together at the chosen level giving you the ability to play with bridge + neck or all 3 pickup at once. The tone options are practically unlimited with these two additional mods. With practice you can dial in the exact tone you're looking for. The electronics also include a momentary kill switch with a 12mm arcade style button. Pushing it mutes the guitar but only while pressed. This gives you the ability to create a percussive, stuttering effect by quickly tapping it. The output is equipped with a high quality SwitchCraft audio jack. All the electronics are fully shielded with copper foil.
- The guitar is equipped with a high quality 2 point bridge with steel saddles and block. It's similar to a Gotoh 510TS. Despite it not being shown in the photos a brand new, push in style tremolo arm with a white tip will be included in the shipment.
- The headstock is equipped with high quality, Schaller style, "chameleon" locking tuners with a 1:18 gear ratio. They turn smoothly, are extremely precise and provide excellent tuning stability. They have an awesome color shifting feature that changes their color across a spectrum that includes blue, green and purple. The pictures don't do them justice, they look much cooler in person. Also equipped is a single roller type string tree and mushroom head styled strap buttons. The guitar will arrive strung with brand new Ernie Ball Super Slinky 9-42 strings.
- It does not come with a case but will be securely packaged and shipped in a heavy-duty guitar shipping box.
