Vintage RARE 1970 Harmony H159 Dreadnought Birch Natural Neck Reset New Strings Pro Setup Original Soft Shell Case

A Vintage very RARE 1970 Harmony H159 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar with the original Soft Shell Case. These guitars were only made for one year. Started in 1970 and finished in 1971. We dated this one from the S-70 found in the sound hole. See pic 5. The Model number is stamped inside near the neck block. Not a lot of these with the red stenciled Sound hole appointments. This is only the second we have found. The last was 10 years ago. These are hard to find. Ladder Braced so they are often redone by Baxendale Guitars to make them x-braced... Very cool guitars.

I like to think of this guitar as a giant Stella. It is all Birch like a Stella on Steroids. Huge woody sound made for the Blues or Folk Song Strumming. After a complete neck reset, I had Jeff the Tech set this one up with his magic touch for awesome low easy playing action. Its a really cool guitar. Not many dings or scratches... just a little player wear. Note the many hours of play on this one from the neck wear..See pic 10... Frets are still in great shape!

All original parts on this one. Typical dings and scratches from being around for 53 years now...The bridge had started to lift so I had my tech take it off and reglue it. The pickguard is not completely flat as it has shrunk over the years but its not really noticeable. Check the pics. Open back Waverly tuners and all original parts. She's all together!

Check out the really nice original soft shell Case. We cleaned it up and added some new felts over the rivets inside the case. The latches, hinges, original handle and even the accessory box are still with this cool case! Check those pics!
