Vintage 1977 Music Man StingRay II Guitar W/HSC
1977 Music Man Sting Ray with Deluxe Gator Hardshell Case. Working Active electronics. Action is ok but not great. Does fret out on a couple frets around 14/15 frets. Could use a professional setup. In 1976 the StingRay became Leo's first real venture back into guitar building, following the expiry of a ten year "non-compete" clause in the sale of his original company to CBS. The guitar was produced in two different neck versions - the StingRay I, with a flat radiused fretboard, and the StingRay II, with a more traditional radius of 7½" similar to that of a 1950s Telecaster. The Stingray Il here is the model that players everywhere deemed the more preferable instrument, with the highly playable 7½" vintage radius. Cool piece of American History here! Great piece for any collection! Let me know if you have any questions or want more pics. Thanks for looking
