This is an original Pete Cornish Drum Trigger, serial number 133, built in March 1985.
According to Pete Cornish's client records, he built Drum Trigger Units for Trevor Morais of the Howard Jones Band during 1985. This unit dates from that same period.
The purpose of the unit was to process the signal from electronic drum pads, producing a clean, well-defined trigger pulse and helping eliminate the multiple false triggers that early electronic drum systems could generate when played aggressively.
Unlike Pete Cornish's production pedals, this is a highly specialized custom-built piece from the golden era of his work for major touring artists. It represents the kind of bespoke equipment that Cornish designed for professional musicians rather than the commercial market.
An exceptionally rare opportunity to acquire an original, serial-numbered Pete Cornish custom unit from the mid-1980s.
