Seven Six Drum Company's The Flame Birch III 6x14 Custom Solid Stave Snare Drum

This is a 6x14 Flame BIrch stave snare drum with continuous grain matching. It has a slightly thinner shell than many of my drums at .40” thick, and it has roundover to 30 degree bearing edges to maximize the contact between the head and shell, thereby increasing the influence of the shell on the overall sound. It has brushed aluminum single point low mass lugs and chrome tension rods, chrome die cast hoops, a chrome Trick throw off, Puresound Twisted 20 strand snare wires, and Remo heads. It’s finished in aqua blue and orange stripes and 8 coats of incredibly durable high gloss polyester clear coat. The shell combined with the rounded bearing edges give this drum a fantastic tuning range and it looks pretty sleek, too.
