1992 Fernandes Japan TEJ-55 HS Contemporary Telecaster (Black/Gold)

Made in Japan by Fernandes in 1992, the TEJ is an ultra-modern variation on the Fender Telecaster design. Basswood body bolted to a painted maple neck with a 22 fret rosewood fingerboard (13.75" radius, 648mm scale length, 43mm nut width), it weighs 3.5kg's. Original Gotoh tuners and a pair of Fernandes VS-3/HS-1 HS pickups controlled by master volume/tone controls and a three-way selector. Seems to be all original, received a basic service prior to listing including new strings and a truss adjustment, plays and sounds great. Frets have some light wear but are shiny and play smoothly. Some cosmetic checking to the finish on the headstock but no structural issues whatsoever.
