1988 marks the first year of the Eric Clapton Stratocaster, one of Fender's first ever run of their well-loved signature models. We believe this guitar, finished in a gorgeous Torino Red, has the added distinction of being a part of the first batch of left-handed Eric Clapton guitars ever produced!
This guitar is a gem to play and the finish is in great condition overall. There is a nick in the middle of the upper bout and some usual play wear around the body and fingerboard. The finish on the neck and headstock experienced some moisture exposure in the past and has been expertly stabilized by our techs. The neck pickup has been replaced with a newer gold Lace Sensor single coil.
