Earlier this year, we had the privilege of building a custom amp for legendary record producer Greg Wells. Greg was recording Keith Urban at the time and asked us to make an amp like Keith’s, which is a Dumble that he got from John Mayer. We customized our standard circuit based on the John Mayer circuit and came up with a version that is lighter, airier sounding. Basically a Blackface Fender sound on the clean channel and a Dumble lead channel.
