Fully 60 Hz AC tested and guaranteed vintage tube amp transformer. AC testing using an oscilloscope allows us to find and reject transformers with noisy outputs, which a simple resistance or continuity test will not show reveal. Made in USA for RCA in 1954. IEA date code 218439. Weighs 8 lbs 4 oz.
This huge transformer can handle a lot of power, but I am afraid I don't have its current rating specs. Listed below are specs determined by AC testing.
in:
1 white zip tie: 117 VAC
outputs:
1 black zip tie: 580 VAC, center tapped
2 white zip tie: 5.0 VAC
2 black zip tie: 6.3 VAC
The voltages run a bit higher when run at modern AC levels instead of the 117 VAC that was specified in the 1950s and 1960s.
