Very Rare 1930s Telefunken Neumann CMV3 Ela 027/1 Mic Microphone
This is the original CMV3 was only made for 3 years, they are quite hard to find and rarely ever show up for sale. This mic is model Ela MZ 027/1 (CMV3), the capsule is MZ 026/2. the correct tube is installed in the body, the RE084K. The mic is good shape physically. I don't have a P/S for the mic, so am unable to test it. But these mics are extremely well made, and rarely have problems.
A bit of history on the CMV3:
One year after the foundation in 1928 Georg Neumann released the first mass-produced condenser microphone, the CMV3. The Telefunken name was Ela MZ 027/1 and a microphone capsule combination with accessories was called M301/2 .This set included the MZ 026/2 omni capsule which was followed by the very similar M55k ( CMV563 ). It was installed in the " torpedo head ".In 1932 Neumann released the advanced model CMV3a which enabled the use of capsules with bajonet attachment, M7 M8 and M9.Telefunken named the CMV3a MZ028/1 and the combination was offered as M302/2 . The Telefunken name of the capsule was MZ032/2.The M7 became the most famous capsule and was used in the U47 M49 UM57 as also with the CMV563 and Leipzig 7151 bottle microphones.
You can be the envy of your friends with this mic, that very few people own.
